"May I ask you something? Why are you called Raya when your real name is Rainy?"
I was asked yesterday by one of my classmate about my nickname which is completely different to my official name. Waarom? Daarom.
Well not really. Today I will tell you about the background of my nickname, and I must warn you that its one boring story...
My official name is Rainy Renata Renald Rinaldi.
Yes, there are four R's in it and this time don't ask me why cause its just how the names in family roll.
The very simple fact of my first name is that it was raining hard in the afternoon when I was born and so my parents grant me the name Rainy. Isn't that too obvious?
About the middle name... yeah my parents just like the idea of Renata, and Renald is a short version of my mom's name which is Rena Rinaldi.
Rinaldi is my dad's last name, chosen by his mother a.k.a my oma.
Why 'Raya'?
I have an older brother and his name is Ray. Well, his official name is as complicated as mine...
Its Raisa Rishya Renald Rinaldi. But shortening the name Raisa into Ray is very sensible.
When his little sister (me!) was born, my parents want us to be like cute pair of brother and sister so they add the letter A after my brother's name (RAY + A = RAYA) and started calling me Raya.
Well, this is probably not the most satisfying answer, but it's how it is...
---------
FALSE!!
RAY + A = RAY + A
RAY - A = RAY - A
RAY . A = RA^2Y
RAY : A = RY
Your explanation is not valid!
